About Hope Baptist Church

Hope Baptist is an independent Baptist church focused on bringing the Word of God to the Clearfield, Pennsylvania area. We are a church that has a passion to preach the Gospel and strengthen the people of the community by giving them hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Hope Baptist is a church that welcomes all people to come as they are, a church that provides healing for the broken, salvation and hope for the lost, and fellowship among its congregation. We are a church that recognizes that all people are created equal, and the good news of salvation is freely given to all. As a church, we place our faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many years of combined ministry experiences have allowed us to step out in faith and start this new work for the Lord. We hope that you will come visit and see what God is doing.

Ministry Goals

To experience the fullness of life in Christ and to carry out His Great Commission around the world through our local body of believers — humbly grounding ourselves in God's Word as our only source of truth, and wholly relying on God's Spirit as our only source of power.

Ephesians 3:20-21

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Glorify God

The highest calling of any local church is to glorify God. For us, this is not simply a lofty theological idea — it is a practical conviction that shapes everything we do. Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, and our desire is to follow His leadership, fulfill His purposes, and live in a way that honors Him and puts His greatness on display for the world around us.

Ephesians 4:12-13

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Equip Believers

The Lord Jesus never designed the work of the local church to rest on the shoulders of a handful of people. His plan has always been for the church to serve as a place of training and equipping for every believer — preparing them to live victoriously in their daily walk, to build one another up in the faith, and to reach a lost world that desperately needs the gospel.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Multiply Disciples

The Great Commission is not simply a finish line to cross — it is a daily strategy entrusted to ordinary believers that has the power to multiply disciples and plant churches anywhere in the world. This multiplication takes place as we share the gospel with the lost, baptize those who believe, and disciple them to turn around and do the very same thing.
